Lube base oil from crude oil has been containing a lot of paraffin wax and microcrystalline wax. Refined wax is produced thru deoiling process from slack wax which has been producing by dewaxing process for lube oil.
MICROCRYSTALLINE WAX
This products is a mixture consisting a lot of iso-paraffinic, some of N=paraffinic, naphthenic and aromatic hydrocarbons, with 31-50 carbon atoms. Molecular weights of commercial Microcrystalline waxs is 450-700. This is a light yellow crystallization, which is higher melting point and viscosity than p-wax.
